Joel Street Allotment Committee is always trying to improve how we support our members. Recently we sent out a questionnaire which told us the following:
- Members want to be able to limit who on the committee has access to their emails, rather than the previous blanket permission.
- Members want different amounts of emails (and control over what they get).
Our solution for this is the implementation of ‘Groups’. These are similar to traditional mailing lists in that only the Group Moderator can see who is signed up to each group, and Members can join or leave each group as they choose. Emails to be distributed can then be submitted for moderation and will go out to everyone in that group, with their privacy assured. It also means no one can be accidentally forgotten!
To join or leave a group, please email email@example.com or fill in the form on this page. If you are joining a group, you will receive an email invitation within 3 days (if you don’t, check your spam folder!). If you are leaving a group, this will be actioned as soon as possible, but again within 3 days.
